Terrova Mounting Plate?
Got my terrova today, and it was all I could do to not mount it immediately. Think I might go with a removable mounting plate after hearing several of you talk about it. I like the idea of taking it off for security and being able to use my cover when traveling. Which one are you guys using. Three different ones on MK's website:
MKA-16
MKA-21
MKA-32
Give me your thoughts. Also, are the hole patterns on these things the same as Terrova, or different? As always, thanks for all your help.

mounted mine yesterday. I used the 32. Yes it's very easy to attach to the motor and also the boat. I would get one , you will like it. Lockable also.

I like the looks of the 32, of course its the most exensive...How much higher is the TM off the boat? I hav read that the 21 raises it up 1 inch. I bought the 45 inch shaft, and don't want to lose much more than another inch. Is it any higher than that?

I got the 16 in yesterday. I plan on getting it installed sometime today if possible.

BRB, let me know what you think about it when u get it installed. Its a lot cheaper, and wont raise the motor up off the boat.

Stickman no matter the model you get I would opt for one, if nothing else just for the ease of removing the TM from the boat. I got my new breaker installed, new wiring run, all connections heat shrinked, etc., but I am going to have to do some thinking about the placement of the TM. Going to have to move my running light which is no big deal but the way my boat is made there are a few obstacles to overcome especially if I don't want to relocate my rod holders.

Has anyone drilled a second hole in the MKA-16 sliding bracket so that the motor could slide back enough to prevent TM from hitting roller on trailer. Looks like it could be done with a second hole for the securing bolt to screw into. Anyone tried this? The other brackets wouldn't allow for this. Not sure if TM hitting trailer is a problem, but it looks like it could happen...

Big Ridge Brewer...Another question for you about your MKA-16. On my ranger deck, I will only be able to use the back four bolt holes on the Terrova after allowing enough room for clearance. Does the base plate have multiple holes to use for mounting that will allow this. Looks like the bracket will be off the boat in the front. Also means that the MKA-21 is not an option because the two front holes for the puck would be forward of flat contact with the deck.
Y-SLABS...Same type question for you. Does the 32 give several options of mounting holes in the base plate? Do you think it will still work good if the front couple of inches is actually above deck? I'll go out and take a picture so it might make more sense.

Is it going to work?
Here is the positioning needed to get clearance. Lot of overhang because of boat style. Any advice on positioning or release bracket would be appreciated. Afraid its going to hit the roller on the trailer loading and unloading. Want to use quick release bracket, but want to use the one that will work. Thanks.
