battery switcher hook up

I have a 12v system with two bank charger and perco switcher. Im going to hook the trolling motor to the common on the switcher so I choose which battery I want to use.Can I just use a jumper from- to - for the batt grounds

Sounds right positive of one battery to 1 on the switch. Positive of the other to 2. Common to TM positive. Both battery negatives jumpered and connected to TM negative.

Yep just like this except your troller instead of the outboard.
