What are you using to cut the bambo ? We have used a couple of different things and have finaly found something that really works good.Just thought someone might have a better plan, always trying to make things easer. That stuff is kinda hard to cut sometimes.

I use some plain old yard shears. They work fine and are quick but I havent cut anything really big with them.

Put you a limb trimmer blade on a weed eater and you will never know the blade hit the Boo. I am not talking about the Beaver Blade. This blade looks just like a ripping blade on a skill saw. Nothing will touch it!
yep that is what I use I have a John deere weed eater with a skill saw blade on it.I think it has about 200 teeth on it so it cuts real smooth. You can cut a truck load and trim it faster tha someone can load it on a truck.
I do have one other question for anyone . why does everone mix the sacrete before putting it in the buckets. Try this, bamboo ,dry sacrete then add the water . It will setup this way and is a lot easer. Just make sure you add enough water so that it all gets wet

Excellent idea. Lots easier than swinging the old machete.
I use an 18 volt trim saw and it works real well. You can make a lot of cuts on one charge.

I tried the machete once getting bean poles for the garden. I went next time with my chain saw and had a truck load of boo in about 15-20 minutes. Takes longer to load than to cut using a chainsaw.Quote:
