Whether it works or not ... it's probably not a good idea to use it. It's really only animal & vegetable fats, water, and some other minor ingredients. With that in mind ... why not trim the fat off of any meats you buy ... freeze it ... and use that ?? You'll be doing yourself a healthy favor, and you'll probably catch just as many catfish, if not more.

Used it as a kid back in Oklahoma on trot lines for cat fish. Worked as good as some of the other baits and some times better.Quote:

Yes I have and yes it works.
It will work for channels.
ive tried this before and had some succes, but it never paid off like a fat shad or mooneye. fish with bait, wash your hands with soap! lmao!
