enamel paint ??

im using Valspar Latex enamel paint for my eyes...but when dry they come off pretty easy...even when triple coated with SH hard as nails....need some feedback

dont use it lol jk......Im using model paint and letting it dry and using CS clear coat...And sometimes i use SH hard as nails.....Also you can buy the acralic paint at walmart and use it. Just let it dry completely.....This time of year i paint my heads in the basement, and bring it up stairs and turn the fan on under my fire place and let the warm air blow on them they dry superquick and so even...

Model paint or outside house paint work well. Use drill bits. Let dry completely on a drying rack. Next day coat them with hard as nails.

I use a number of paints I find that kilz works well the valspar has worked for me Blue and Red. Model paint works well too. Think that a couple of coats of Sally Hansons's works for me. I have a long dry time before tying which I think makes a big difference. Let them dry in my house which has a dry wood heat in the winter, and in the shop in the window sun light in the spring summer and fall. This might be a factor in not having a big failure rate on the eyes. Does any one use heat lamps in the drying process after powder paint on the eyes??

the dry is the big factor i believe

the paint will adhere better if you scuff it up just a little with a scotchbright pad then use a clear coat after the paint is dry. the clear coat should fill in the imperfections the scotchbright left.

Pbug coming from you I know that I am on the right track. Now to devise a heat lamp drying station. Well may be a food dehydrator???? think that a heat lamp would be the better bet.

also redman a small space heater works great too.

I have heard of using an old refrigerator with light bulbs for heat to bake UR baits (he was making spinner baits some 20 years ago).
