Phase 2 of first attempt at airbrushing crankbaits

tried some multi-coating, still have to dry and put the eyes on and the put the sealer on. Pretty much done for the day

Yep DD, patience is the main thing, but it is fun, now gotta find some stencils for like the gills and stuff, havent had much luck finding anything but just started to looking

I'm not going to worry about gills, scale pattern or anything like that. All the lakes I fish in are stained and I think color patterns and stripes will be more important that anything else

Really a great start. For scales go to Walmart or go to your minnow bucket and get you net. Perfect size for the scales. It's what the pro's use. Here is a link to a site that has a special forum for crankbaits. Make sure to look at the gallery. They do some fantastic paint jobs. It is also a great site for getting a question answered about how to do something. http://www.tackleunderground.com/com...13-hard-baits/ Keep up the good work. You can use a couple of closepins to keep the net in place as you do a bait.

them some good looking crank baits you should paint some in electric chicken with red hooks i bet the crappie would ware the paint off
