Some of the guys on the MS board are airbrushing hard plastic baits ( crank baits)......I don't believe it would work very well on the soft plastics mainly because you cannot sand or rough the surface up to make the paint stick and adhere. Another thing is the soft plastic is flexible and paint is not.
I they do make plastic paint you definitely would not put regular paint on plastic baits . Yes I believe that most of the people that airbrush crank baits are either using vinyl or enamel and they can use those paints on hard plastic vinyl paint works very well on hard plastic in wood . We will try to post in the future. The type of paint that there is available to put on soft plastic is you know dip it can be used to airbrush the only problem with that stuff is. It has a tendency to bleed on through , but we will be researching with the use in the major plastic manufacturers of soft plastic baits we also are thinking about photo standing images onto soft plastic.
Snake some of the guys over at Tackle Underground have been doing it based on the threads there. I don't know anything about pouring plastics but I sure enjoy reading about it.
yea I think tackle underground is the best bet those bass guys do it all
Renosky has been doing this for decades on their Super Shad baits.
