Ice allready
Hit a spot we been doing well at today only got 1 12" crappie water temp down to 38 most have shocked em hopefully they'll get adjusted , went to 2 other spots that rarely freeze , both iced up ,was heading to check out a 3rd saw a man that just came from there it was froze too.:mad: We usually never have ice problems till jan. hope its not going to be like this all winter I'll go nuts I'm used to fishin all winter even last year we only lost about 2 weeks. What happened to global warming?

I feel your pain. Checked a couple of spots today and they had 1" of ice. I was thinking about going out in the rain tomorrow. Looks like some more cold weather next week so I'm getting my hardwater fishing gear out for a possible trip west.

Ice fishing is a blast. I very rarely catch crappie through the ice. We usually catch yellow perch and walleye but it's still fishing.

Do you go out to Deep cr. lake? I heard they get some real big perch there walleye would be nice I never fished for them, caught a small one years ago in Liberty by accident.

heck guys some of the coves on deep creek are froze but as you know there always has to be a daredevil out there and by gummy their was already a fella ice fishing couldn't catch me oyut there yet i'm to bigga boy for just wondering around on the ice and this will only be my second year .

Yes, I go to deep Creek Lake. The perch are pretty big. I myself have not caught a lot of walleyes but I'm hoping to change that. Scott I will let you know when I go. Waiting for a lot more ice, you won't catch me going out early. I fell through the ice as a kid and I don't ever want to have that experience again.
