Terrova i-pilot problem

Thought I would bounce this off you guys before calling service.

I have a Terrova 80 with i-pilot. Yesterday, my remote would not work it. I hooked up the foot pedal and it worked fine.

I had changed the battery in the remote last week. Used the remote in my buddies boat a few days before, so I know the remote works. I also have a spare remote and it won't work the motor either.

I did try the "learn" button for both remotes, that's not the problem.

Any ideas guys?

Did you repeatedly stow and deploy the motor? In doing so, it kills power and re-initiates the sync each time. I've had an issue similar in the past in that the GPS wouldn't lock on and wouldn't for more than 2 hours. Next move it re acquired. My thinking is that if the GPS fails in acquiring, it does not re-attempt until the power is cut off and on again. Remote signal may be the same.
