Meldahl Dam
Sorry no report but lately the bite has been decent for sauger you just have to pick your days right. I emailed the game and fish about the construction up there and explained about how far down they have us which is a barren waist land and the restructureing of the bouys and Fred Howes called me and was really interested in the situation up there, especially where the bouys were moved to. So maybe there is still hope to where the fisherman can get alittle help up there. I emailed Hamilton Ohio which has the permit for the construction and the core of engineers this past summer of how poor the fishing was do to the fact that they blocked us off from Land and by the water. I asked them for a little help or anything and not so much as a peep came from them. I emailed Game and Fish and two days later I am talking to Mr. Howes and I thank him for speaking to me and calling me so fast. I thought I might give some word of what we talked about and maybe something or someone can help us up here in Northern Ky. I asked if there was any way about fishing closer to the rocks and not just fishing on a sand bar with no rocks in sight. And if there was anyway to move the bouys in the water back to there original places, as there is no work going on in the water as of now, and he was really interested in the bouy situation and he was going to look in on things.

Maybe he can be of help. I haven't been down this winter yet. But it's about that time. I've heard some good reports of catches over on the wall.

Yea the wall has been decent but what stumps me this fall/winter I have only caught 5 decent size sauger out of Fosters Creek mouth. I hope Mr. Howes can help, this engineer that they have up there tells people what they want to here and not the truth. I was told in the spring that we would have access to the rip rap somewhere not on a sand bar. Maybe the Game and Fish can do something on the Ky side for us cant get any worse than it is. You know fishing was good there when people would drive several hours to fish the dam. So if any one that can get on this band wagon and help it would be great.

Keep the reports coming EZGO. I haven't been able to hit the river yet. My tilt/trim motor went south again and I need to find/order some trim parts. Still waiting on warmer weather. THis single digit temps stuff has to go and let the fun begin. Do you carry a portable heater in your tracker? Asking for one for Christmas.

No heater but I wear the under armour and it does live up to all of the hype. I team all that up with my carhart artic coat and carhart bibs. The only trouble I have is finding away to keep my feet warm. I waiting to go, the river is on the drop. Personally I think the bite should be in full swing now checked the cores site and the water temp shows in the fortys.
