comin back
Hello all. A few years ago a friend, my son and myself headed to Mississippi to do some fishin. We fished Bee lake and had a great time. I have a Triton F&S and found out it was a little big to fish the way most were fishin. Mostly huggin the bank and droppin a jig down. We are planning to come back this spring and tryin again. Whats the best lake to fish and one we can fish in a bigger boat? We mostly fish with jigs or bobber and minnow. I'm not set up to spider rig and never done it so we just keep it simple. Also any lakes that have a good place to stay would be helpful.

Sardis, Enid and Grenada would all be fishable single poling as the cover is more open and sporatic. There will be times and situations on each when you will wish you had a smaller boat though. Most of the cover on either of the 3 mentioned is dead trees and stumps with no top above the water, so you can maneuver right up on it with little trouble.

Thanks Wannabe. We saw most of the people zig zaggin around the cyprus trees but couldn't do that in my boat. Any good places to stay around or close to the lakes?

mperry, it is pretty easy to find a place to stay around there. Also Lake Washington has a place to stay and you should be able to fish there also. I have a 21 foot triton and I can fish it pretty easy.

Are these big lakes? The biggest lake we have around here is a little over 10,000 acres.
