Airbrush Lure Painting
I'm just learning the art of airbrush painting on crankbaits. I use Createx water based paint. I base coated with white, then after drying, sprayed the color. I hand painted the eyes with enamel, then top coated with clear gloss vinyl lure finish. If any of you do this, I'd love to learn some tips and tricks. Here's a pic of some Bandits and Wiggle Warts I recently painted. Thanks for any help. Scott

Scott, those look very good. Looks like you have it going on already and the colors tones are nice too. I can tell the white base makes a difference on the finish. Nice work :).

Thanks Ronnie, I'm still learning.

I'm sure there's an art to it but it looks to me youve gotten off the a really nice start. Those look good!:)

Scott those baits look good. I have been thinking about painting my own baits too. There is nothing more satisfying than catching fish on something you made. Even if it is just a color modification. I did this some years ago with some magic markers to make a few changes and caught some fish.

Nice paint jobs. You got more guts than me. If you want some really good ideas check out the guys over on TackleUnderground in the hard bait section, some of those guys are simply amazing on their paint jobs. Always more fun when you catch them on something you make yourself.

Thanks Fatman, I'll check that out. I have a lot of questions for someone who knows what they're doing.
