Tracker Boat Pro Team 170 Rod Storage

I just baught this boat a few months ago. I thought about going to the Crappie version but I really did not want the spend the extra 1400 bucks or what ever it was at the time. All I can say is other than rod storage, I've been real happy with it.

The Largest rods I fish with are 12' and putting them in the middle rod compartment is just a mess. What I am thinking about doing is getting a hole saw, drilling out the floor around the front and putting in some pvc or something and just boat with the rods in a vertical position. My concern is though weakening the floor.. any one have any thoughts about this???

You can buy or build a holder to put them in the vertical posistion...after having both...I LOVE the vertical position of the rods...they are much easier to deal with and get to. If you can put them width wise in the boat...and not front to back. I have done the front to back thing and the lines can still get tangled. Although its hard to find a good place to go widthwise and not be in the way. If i did it again I would place them across the back of the boat. There is a Triton on the boards I've seen done this way. Put some thought into it and add them. I wouldn't go into the floor though..just my .02 cents. I like leaving things intact...just me though. redboat I have a dumb question.
I just bought a tracker 175 and i did not get the owners manual. How do you get water into the live well?
I was able to get it to recerc and to pump out but I had to fill it with the cooler I had fish bitting.

Cajun.. on mine (170) my switch says aerator.. it either has a manual or auto... the auto, turns it on and off every few minutes. The manual just runs it..Don't forget to screw in the plastic tube in your livewel.. if that's not in the it won't fill up...

Scrapper, I've looked at it some more... I do not think I can put them in the back and have them flush to the floor because of the placement of the live well and fuel tank... I'll try to take a couple pics so you can see what I see this weekend..

I am not sure what yours is but my fill tube is also my recirculate tube. You have to push it in to get lake water to fill. Also every once in a while you need to turn your pump on and back down for a couple of seconds. Just long enough to get your pump primed. one of those designs that looked good on paper...
