Mt Magazine Area
Will be camping Nov 10 - 14 on Mt. Magazine. Looks like there is Paris Reservoir, Cove Lake, and Blue Mountain Lake on Google Maps.
I'll be taking a small 8Ft Water Scamp, anyone with guidance on where to launch and where to fish would be greatly appreciated.
Also, any good places to eat in this neck of the woods? Wife is a city girl and she hates not seeing an "Outback" steakhouse :D

Shimmy,
Good luck on the fishing. I have not fished Paris Res or Cove Lake......but have Blue Mountain.....caught some nice crappie there last spring. Cove Lake will be a lot closer to you once up on he mountain. The Grapevine in Paris has some good food...there is a steakhouse and some pizza places in Paris also.....not much on the Danville side of the mountain other than the Memory Lane cafe in either Belleville or Havana I forget which. I was surprised at the quality of the food at the lodge also.
Good luck and remember Blue Mtn has a nine limit that is strickly enforced.

Blue mt. is a very good crappie lake, paris is a smaller lake if it is windy it is a good place to go it sets down in a valley very good for bass, catfish and red ear pearch and very good for your scamp.
Now the lodge at mt. magizine has very good food. the other post is right on for the other places to eat, paris has a few good little shops for the wife but I like to stop in and see richard at richards pawn it is on the square. paris has a walmart and other places and you also can get bait in paris if you need it. The only bad thing about blue mt. is that in the last year or two they got a new game ranger that patrols that area really hard and says that he is going to clean things up he gives tickets for every little thing.
