to cure them after I powder paint them and man what a difference. Colors are much brighter than when I was just dipping them and running them back over the gas stove burner. Put the over on 325 and went for 25 minutes. Worked like a charm. Will this keep them from chipping as easily as well?
Yes chipping is a thing of the past if cured. It's now very tough paint, but no cure, it will chip off very easy.
I have not chcecked my toaster oven to see exactly where it is, but I set in on between 390 and 400 for 17 minutes. Probably 15 would work, but I didn't have all work as expected when I tried their new temps and time which is 395 for 10 minutes. Maybe it was I didn't add enough time to heat the lead or maybe my toaster oven is off more than I think, but what ever the deal is I use 17 minutes and close to 392.

I put them in a cold oven, then set it to 325 and once it got to 325, I ran it for 25 minutes, turned the oven off and let it cool real slow. Bet it took an hour for them to get all the way cold. We'll see how it works and can't be worse than not curing. LOL
You did good. Wannabe would be proud. By the way you cleaned up boxes look good. Just need more hand tyes.
The Mfg. even gives cure times in case of weed guards and such and gives time and temps for that. I do believe most colors will do fine at 325 for 25 minutes. I just use the shorter time as I am painting and curing at the same time and will do several loads in the oven to get them all. So I just want to get done asap, LOL!
However there are at least one, maybe more not sure, like Pearl and it's 325 for 15 minutes. I don't remember if I have one or two more that have odd temps and time, but I do think there is one other at least.

Yea DD, you need to let me and hunter fix you up with some real jigs. LOL Beagle might even let me make you a copy of his goober jig. I just cured a bunch of black heads of different types. I usually cure at 350 for 20 min.
I got to hand it to you guys....you do make some nice jigs. I don't hardly want a store bought one anymore.

we have been running my toaster oven at 350 for 15 min. . So far so good yes I have not noticed any of the paint chipping off and I fish and have the rocky terrain water.
