Crappie Club info
I was thinking of joining a club next year and was wondering what some of you thought. Springfield Crappie club seems to be a well run organization with some fun tournaments. You have to sign up as a team though. Any other clubs you know of? I'd like to start fishing in some fun tourneys and get to know more of the folks in Central Illinois that like to fish!

JT - not sure about any clubs JT. How's the new boat? I actually went down to The Boat Dock in Springfield on Saturday to look at some Nitro's. Not sure if I will pull the trigger but man, I'm sure thinking about it. I've enjoyed reading your posts on here, maybe we can hook up sometime and shoot the bull about local Crappie fishin. I usually head to Kentucky Lake (Shawnee Bay Resort in Benton) every spring. Usually myself and around 5 others......might be something to keep in mind if you are interested. It's usually a pretty good time. Fishing of course depends on the weather, but we sure do enjoy each other.

lvto - The boat is wonderful!!! I say if you can strike a good deal (this is the time of year for that) pull the trigger!!! My cousin and I will be headed to KY Lake agaun this Spring. Usually the few days leading into Easter Weekend. We stay at the Moors. We will also have 4-6 in our party. Let me know when you all will be goin and we can try to get together! It's Duck Hunting time so don't know if I'll get back down to S-Ville until March!

We usually head down the third week in march. We thought about staying at moors. It looks pretty nice. Where do you usually fish here in central Illinois?

Banner Marsh, some at Evergreen though I haven't been there for awhile. Day trips to S-Ville. The Moors is a nice place to stay. Fishing probably better tat time of year down aound Blood River. Thought about giving that a try.
