hwy 9 boat ramp on overcup

I went up there last week I forget to charger my camera battery. I got a few picture before it when dead.

Wow, they have really drained it. I fished it here last weekend or so and it was low but still had any where from 2 ft to 7ft of water in it. Didn't catch anything either. The guy I talked to there said it would be January or so before they start to fill it back up. He said that the back part of the dam had slid when it flooded Hwy 9 here a while back and made it really soft. On top of that I think they did some logging in that area too and did more damage.

olduckhunter - If you hit exit 108 at Morrilton off I-40, take a right and follow Hwy 9 around till you see the overcup landing sign about a mile up the road on your right. "The Liar's Den" and boat ramp is right there, can't miss it.

Lake That drained means one thing to me, Fishing should be fantastic right now. Crappie should be really concentrated on that lake somewhere right now. My guess would be the Dam area.

you can still launch a boat on hwy 95 side.

thanks dfc, that's a little fer for me. but i still think drawing it down and the vegetation will make fishing much better when filled.

no prob bud, and I meant exit 107 onto hwy 95, not exit 108 onto hwy 9. Exit 108 takes you to where midnight was on the East side of the lake. I was thinking of where I went fishing last weekend on the west side of the lake. Anyways, I would like to hit it again. With it down like it is, I would love to hit where the dam is. I never made it that far last time.

The best part about drawing it down is. The ark G&F are building fish habitat. the owner of the bait shop at hwy 9 said they are marking the boat trail with signs just like they used on lake conway. plus he said there going to make a map and be sale it just like the one for lake conway. also there fixing the boat ramp too he said. I make go up there next week and try to get some more picture and a fishing report.
