Does anyone use their Humminbird or Lowrance to scan under docks for suspended crappi

I have noticed no one has ever posted a picture of suspended crappie under floating docks using the latest Humminbird or Lowrance units, and was wondering if the units get alot of interference when trying this? I have plans to purchase one of these units next spring, but this is my primary reason for wanting these units. The local lake I fish has alot of docks and it would narrow my search considerably. I have and I will try to remember to post a couple pictures next time I hit the lake, not many docks where I fish maby 10 or so. and they don't want anyone with in 1 mile of there docks, I have seen lots of fish and hanging brush on some of them. I think you will be happy if you get the sideimiging/structure scan modle. I really like mine

check this out. i would like to have one of those also but the price is to steep for me .
thinking about putting a transducer on a troling motor pointing to the side see if that workd .

could you use just a regular fish locator and get up close to the dock or structure,and turn the transducer to the side toward the dock and would it give you some sort of reading....

I just bought a portable Humminbird so i could try this.

Does anyone have some pictures of docks they scanned? Rollcaster has brought up a good idea. I will try the 1st and if I get good results, will post.

Thanks guys for the responses. I am interested in the side imaging units that are available on the market now, but would like to see if I could expand it uses for my fishing situations. I would really be interested in seeing a screen shot of a "scan" under a floating dock that had suspended fish under it. Was wondering if the units would scan close to the surface if the fish were suspended at around 2' to 5'. I was curious if the unit would pickup interference from the floats or toons that were nearby. Again thanks for the replys and just trying to do my homework before I drop that kind of money just to eliminate dead water.
