They been spraying poison on the pads and other vegitation for the last week or so. Friend of mine fished the Green carp tourney and made the top 10 with a 2 day total of 11 or 12 pounds due to them spraying. He said you could actually see an oily sheen on the water so it was shutting the fish off
Thanks for the info... I wonder when things will turn back around? Won't all the vegetation die off in the winter?

If we can ever get some sho nuff cooler weather in for a week or so, you'll see things pick way up for us. Last year, once it got cool, then cold, it stayed that way all winter long. I put alot of fish in the freezer last winter
Probably be about the first of November or so before I head that way. I've had alot of success over there from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Don't ever forget the bigguns bite when it snows.
Lunker, I've been out there when it's snowing and you talk about beautiful. I caught alot of 14 and 15 inchers last winter up from long lake to the 43 bridge and welfare hole. It was wierd though a few times. There'd be 20-30 boats out there and not alot of fish being caught deep but I was catching them 7 foot down in 25 FOW. Only reason I knew to fish that shallow was cause I'd seen them with the 997
