Back from the crappiemaster's classic
Well Guys I felt like I held my own On Truman this past week we finished 79th out of 220 boats and turned in 13.10 lbs of crappie for two days catching between 6 - 7 lbs both days. We used Bobby Garland Slabslayers on 1/8th oz heads tipped with minnows in 10 feet of water in the middle of creek mouths fishing the best looking timber we could find. Truman is a great crappie lake with fish all over the place. The lake was basically like a deeper version of Lake Conway in the fact that if you got off the main river channel your were in heavy stumps and trees just about anywhere you went. The water was very stained to muddy and an Avg temp of 65-67 degrees with great weather the whole week. I really battled hard on Truman and it was amoung some mighty fine fisherman. Really amazing stuff to be apart of and CrappieMaster's took good care of it's anglers. Man I got free tackle, great food and Entertainment at the banquet's and a great time and fellowship with others who enjoy crappie fishing. Welp it's on to Lake Conway, Dardanelle this April and i may try to fish some MS tounament's with the trail this year If I can afford it LOL. I would love to go to Bama for the nationals next year. But for now i plan on start nailing em on Lake Conway so lets go get em Guy's. Looking forward to seeing you all out there. Here is a couple pics of the many fish we caught on Truman this past week. After the tourney me and my wife had a fishing day on Lake Truman and caught several this size with slip bobbers and minnow's. I stayed at Bucksaw Marina in a room right on the lake with my boat in a slip right out my front door. Now that's service LOL. See you guys on Lake Conway.
