I was there today to look at ramps, water LOOOOOW
the park ramp non functional as the water around it is dried up, the dam site ramp is being re-done and wont be ready for bout 2 weeks (at least thats what I heard)
Decklemans (gravel road ramp) looks functional but not alot of wiggle room. looks shallow but several boats had used it to launch there.
was hoping one of the boats out there today cruised this site to give a report, but no luck as of yet. May try it tomorrow after church, I'll let you know how it goes.

Use caution when launching at Decklemans which is the only usable ramp. A person may get their feet wet while loading and unloading. I've also had to use 4wd once to get out. A friend told me that one of his buddies went by and there was a truck stuck with water up to the tailgate. The fishing has been OK with mainly shorts. With the temps running up and down, I've found them both deep and shallow.
Hey RCC good to hear from you. The last time I was there they had put some rocks at the end of the dam ramp. Are you saying they have a closed sign on the dam ramp ? I was going after work this week. Let me know. Fished Peckerwood and ColeCreek in TN this weekend and had a ball. Got to fish with my father and realized its not real easy to fish tree tops and snags for a newbee. He grew up bass fishing but I told him all fishing poles that go in my boat must be over 10'. I will enjoy teaching him. Talk to you later, See you on the water.

Thanks for the info. Tom, did you have a chance to go?
yeah, decklemans is ok if you stay on the northern most part of the concrete, dont back in too far and take your time. ended up with 5 this afternoon but I was doing more moving after I upgraded my electronics than fishin....I always seem to do better in the morning anyway.

Thanks for the info. Probably going to try in the am.
