I saw two big Bass Boats driving down the road the other day and both boats had 2 pieces of painted metal attached to the back of the boat (not the trailer) extending up approx. 4-5' above the boat. Does anyone know what this is?

They're anchor arms that they let down after launching their boat and pulling back up to the bank to keep them from moving sideways or backwards or tearing up their trolling motors while they're parking their truck.

I'd been seeing them for about a year or so and didn't have a clue what they were either till about 2 weeks ago and I was taking my boat out when a bunch of Tourney guys were launching and using them.
Do you know where I can find them?
they are for holding the boat in shallow water when fishing. i think they are around 1200.00 or more. lots of tournament fishermen use them now.
They're Power Poles. MK has the Talon coming out to do the same thing. Those are hydraulic---MK's is electric.

You can order the PPole from the factory. I installed one on a bay boat I had for awhile. The new Talon will probably be smpler to install.Quote:
