Proud Daddy
Well my baby girl started taking karate lessons a couple weeks ago. She's a lean, mean fighting machine, lol. This proud daddy just wanted to share a picture of her with you guys. She's becoming quite the little crappie fisherman too which doesn't hurt daddy's feelings either.Attachment 46699

Great pic, Mike. Karate is a good thing to get kids involved in. It teaches respect and discipline.

That's awesome! Karate is a good thing for learning discipline and setting goals along with great self defense.
My 24 year old Son, Aric is a 1st degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and actually got to meet and spar with Grand Master Parks from South Korea! Master Parks was in his 80's then and was still on top of his game. I swear you couldn't see his hands move until the punch landed!
Aric was always picked on from about the 3rd grade on 'cause he wore glasses and was a nerdy, computer geek type. I think it was right after he got his Orange belt that the bullies started leaving him alone. 5 of 'em ganged up on him one day at recess and broke his glasses. They got in his face while one was on his hands and knees behind Aric so that when they pushed him he fell over the one behind him. When he jumped to his feet he put three of them on the ground and the others ran like scared rabbits! He didn't hit them, just swept their feet out from under them. The school was going to suspend him for a week, but his Sensei (instructor) came to the meeting with us in Aric's defense. Given the past reports we filed of him being bullied they saw the light and decided it was in their best interest to not pursue a suspension:D Still p!$$ed me off the bullies only got a slap on the wrist, but they never bothered Aric again!:p

That's awesome. Martial Arts are great for the kiddo's Teaches them dicipline and if they are shy, it helps them out with that. I've been teaching Taekwondo for 16 years and nothing is more rewarding than working with kids and helping them out. NO, Not even pulling in a 3 lb crappie is as rewarding
