Just wanted to let you northerners know that Cossar State Park on Enid Lake will be closing the middle October, 2010. Please help use Mississippians keep it open by calling Ramie Ford or Paul Collins at 601-432-2231. I know many of you enjoy fishing at Enid during the spawn. The closest place to stay is 26 miles north or south.
UPDATE: The park will now NOT BE CLOSING thanks to all the HELL that was raise by everyone on line, on the phone and emails. They found out how much we all care about our state park and decided to do cuts elsewhere!

I did what little i could, hope it stay open long time
Good news.
We went down today to close our place up and we stopped by the state park.
Paid $3 to drive through to help to keep it open.
Well the lady at the guard shack said it would be open till February, she said after that she didn't know.
I figure after all the elections that the worst may happen.
I wonder why the corp can't take it over?
