Instructional post concerning replacing a bunk on a trailer the DD way
#1 - Call supervisor to witness the event and to take pics as an educational tool.
#2 - Have supervisor show up all bright and shiney to remove old bunk and deliver a fresh Diet Coke since you're ignert enough to run out during the day.
#3 - Place new board on trailer to drill the holes.
#4 - Grab POS cordless drill and search for the right sized bit from the standard 621 piece drill bit set.
#5 - Cuss on account of the set is suposed to be 622 bits and yep, you guessed it......
#6 - Place one oversized gewber under the trailer to drill the holes.
#7 - Remove oversized gewber and grease his shoulders and apply pressure so he can get under trailer.
#8 - Lament the fact that POS drill won't hold a charge.
#9 - Hold button on drill and run around 1/3 proper depth hole in a circle for 25 minutes to complete hole to 3/3rds depth.
#10 - Hurl POS drill an olympic record distance of 784 feet.
#11 - Lament the fact that you didn't get new lag bolts, nuts and washers.
#12 - Regret the fact that the hole is oversized and the carriage bolts want to pull all the way through the oversized hole rather than hang on the shoulder of a propertly sized hole.
#13 - Place carpet on newly installed bunk.
#14 - Realize that your lucky to have someone of some expertise to spot you and really appreciate the suggestion to size one end so you only have to make one cut on the carpet.
#14a - Wonder what happened to your sharpening stone.
#15 - Load staple gun with brand new staples from brand new box of staples while simultaneously regailing your audience with the importance of proper planning when a job needs to be perfomed.
#15a - Suggest that stainless staples are merely a myth and don't actually exist.
#16 - Wonder why stapler ain't staplefying.
#17 - Unload, reload, retest, unload, reload, retest, unload, reload, retest.
#18 - Hand stapler to supervisor for inspection.
#19 - Thoroughly take notes on the supervisor's impromptu lesson on the merits of buying T100 staples for a T100 stapler verses T50 stapler.
#20 - Work math problem on chalkboard and proudly proclaim that the problem is that your missing 50 Ts.
#20a - Break record Olympic distance with stapler, receive gold medal.
#20b - Receive bronze for distance with T50 staples.
#21 - Unload 4700 tools from toolbox rated for 2500 tools.
#22 - Scream Eureka! when roofing tacks are located.
#23 - Quickly assertain proper spacing for 11 roofing tacks on a 50 roofing tack long bunk board.
#24 - Search for hammer from pile of 4700 tools.
#25 - Sheepishly ask to borrow hammer from Supervisor.
#26 - Write out check for deposit on borrowed hammer.
#27 - Regrease shoulders.
#28 - Re-apply pressure.
#29 - Repack 4100 tools into box and wonder what to do with the remaining 600.
#30 - Borrow 4 5 gallon buckets for 600 tools.
#31 - Stand by and admire a job well done.
#32 - Beg for confidentiality clause.
#33 - Agree to fish Big Mama tournament if steps 34 - 81 are kept confidential and only 3 of the 417 pics are posted.
