Ok whats Old DW up to?

Well I aint been fishing! At my age you have to save yourself for special times! I am not as young as Beagle and I sure aint as good looking as OSS.

Been resting up for Fall Camp. If I am going to be down there with Monk and Bugman I need all the rest I can get.

This week I have been attending the National Fireworks Assn. annual meeting here in Springfield. Each night they have been having demo's of the new class C (consumer grade) fireworks for 2011. I know I have gun powder on the brain. Wow is all I can say there is going to be some new great stuff coming out for July 4, 2011 season. Wednesday night, I watched over 2 plus hours of fireworks. Last night was called off due to wet conditions. Tonight, Friday night, I set thru over 3 1/2 hours of consumer fireworks. There has been companies from all over the world shooting off their products. I sure hope Saturdays night demo show is not rained out.

Ahh a man that totally understands me. Some people are good fishermen and others just light fast fuses!

Yeah there is alot of good stuff that will be coming on the market next year. I have to say that I saw some Black Cat product that I liked and would even purchase for myself. And I for one have not been a big fan of most of the Black Cat line for the last several years.

Oh average so far for everything I have only given 1 - 10 rating. And for every 8 or 9 rating I have given 4 to 5, 7 or lower ratings. And I will admit there has been alot of 4's and 5's.

Ok so you might be wondering why its such a big thing to be seeing a fireworks demo right now? Most of the major fireworks companies in the USA will be sending people to China next month to visit and order next years July 4th fireworks. By the time it takes to get all the stuff made, loaded on container ships, and floated across the big pond it will be early to late next Spring before it hits ground here in the USA. And normally in April is when most of your smaller tent operators order their products from the big wholesalers. If they wait much past that, all they end up with is mostly left over junk. Unless they get really lucky.

Been told tonight there will be $100,000.00 of commercial grade Class B fireworks off one fuse. That should be good.
