hummingbird side imaging transducer

i plan on mounting a Hummingbird 998si on the bow of my boat.

Question, do you need two transducers for down imaging and side imaging, or are both features incorporated into one transducer?

Only need the one that comes withthe unit.

Jesse, I have the 998 on a Tracker 175 pro crappie, I'm not happy with my transom location. What kind of boat do you have and where will you mount the transducer?
