Sorry just added the link I guess the first time it did not take......I'm not sure if I wanna part w/ $20 for it now after I think bout it.
Would be great if you want to tie on the water. A lot of fly fisherman will take one to try and match the hatch exactly. Tying on the water allows them to match size, color and stages of nymphs and bugs on the water.
You could do the same thing for jig fishing. Would allow you to size up or down on a pattern if the fish are finicky or if you need a different color or something. Could actually pack a lot of colors of both feathers and chenille if you only take enough for a few jigs of each. Guess it all depends on how likely you are to tie on the shore or boat while or instead of fishing.
What Fish4all said. Fly fishing is sometimes much more color and size critical, so tying to match the hatch can sometimes be the only road to success. If I was a western fly fisher I'd have one. Now I just tote a box full of pretty feathery things.
Allan, I was looking at getting one of those, but went a different route for my "travel kit" instead. If you travel and tie at all, I think that would be a nice bag to have for 20 bucks. There's my 2 cents.

Zac,
Ya that was what I was thinkin bout after lookin at it more.....just not sure I wanna throw my $20 at something that might get used sometimes...so I think I will pass on it, but still lookin at stuff......I need to re-organize my tying station again!
i use plastic tupperware boxes with lids they work perfect...
Looks like it would work fine for taking tying things along on a trip with you. :)
Notice too it's been reduced 50% to sell them so I take it a lot of people didn't want it, LOL!
Unless your a fly fishing type that travels to places out in the wild in some tiny cabin on some body of water and may just need to tie some flies while you out camping then I say no you don't need it. I feel pretty sure saying this is for that kind of guy and can afford to keep going on fly fishing trips all over.
