I'm not buying the fact that you're no good at it. None of came out of the box runnin and we all went around the learning curve. One guy tied in a pair of vise grips in a bench vise, so tools isn't it either. If you have a good bobbin and the right thread to start the rest will come in time and we will all throw in to help. No dumb questions here, ever. Need some different materials, say the word and I'll have some on the way to get you started. Skip or Shipahoy can put you on some videos to show technique. Don't give up yet, it really is a lot of fun. And the fish bite the not so good looking ones too, after all- they're dumb.
Really it comes down to if you like tying or not and if not then it's definitely not your thing. However if you like it, then it will still take time to get better at it. I know lots that just don't like it and don't want to do it.
Would be interested in Quail and Turkey for sure. So what have you got?
Sending a PM now.

Trust me I'm not good, but I do have fun and can spend hours doing it, so I am not giving up completly. I am moving soon and don't want to take all of the feathers with me, I have some that I will keep. Skip semd me a pm and let me know what you need. The feathers that I have are from birds I shot, quail are pretty much whole bird and turkey are plucked feathers, don't worry they are not buggy I keep them in the freezer.
Do not give up. Try hackle or marabou. Search you tube videos on tying jigs and just have fun. My first jigs I tied looked like crap. Now they catch crappie. Remember your longest journey will always start with a single step. Keep on trying and never give up. We believe in you.
hello im just getting started and all i have right now is the vise, so i would be interested in whatever you have.
thanks

OK so I didn't think they would be this popular so the split them up I am going to fill a few pint ziplock bags of feather and try to get them to you, if you have any special kind of feathes (ex. tail, wing, or breast) please let me know just make sure you send me a pm even if you already sent on send another, I will see how many askers I get in the next week or so and will try to mail them out asap. All that I Would ask for is for you to pay shipping which should only be five bucks or so for the flat rate USPS boxes, and if at all posible a couple of flies out of the feathers I send you. I hope this makes everyone happy.
the marabou blood quill feathers seem to be the easiest to deal with to me.even easier than bucktails.im still new at tying too.the marabou feathers seem easy to make a decent looking jig with in a short amount of time, without much effort.i think i will be needing to get some more colors in those sometime.
