Stainless steel screws and epoxy.

hiteks won't work for ya! buy ya something differant and send me the hiteks!!,,lol
Where's the friggin picture? Dangit you know the rules by now!:D
Like G-3 said, stainless steel screws will hold it. My boat is fiberglass and the stainless steel screws are holding just fine.
And dont forget to GORRILA GLUE them in .
Go with the largest course thread you can get by with, pre drill the hole just undersized for the screw, but not so big the threads won't get maximum bite and torque it down good. That's all that is needed. I did not glue nor epoxy any of mine, but you're welcome too if it makes you feel better. Just give it a good check after your 1st, 3rd and 8th trip to make sure they haven't loosened.
And post some pics dadgummit or next time we're charging for the free advice.
And another thing, next time you buy a boat and come on here and give us the details and describe it only as a "glass boat", I'm gonna kick you in the knee.
Wananbe...
It's a Triton TA196 with a 150 Optimax. Bought it from a guy in Georgia. Long drive for an old guy. It's the boat that was listed here---there are pics there. I'll get Creek to give me a tutorial in picture posting.
Hey Rock congrats on the new boat and thanks for the post. Now I know how to mount my high teks.:D
