I'll try to keep this short. Lead after exposure to the elements starts to
"oxidize" at this point it becomes less toxic. In the water it will get a thick
crudie film on it. It will no longer give molecules to water, rendering it non-
toxic. However the smaller stuff like split shot, shotshell pellets, small jigs
they claim waterfowl will ingest. Well this number is more like .000001% of
waterfowl deaths. Almost every year they will have extremely high numbers
of waterfowl die from Cholera on the Platte river in Neb., some years it's in
the millions. Lead is a natural element, its in your body right now. Don't buy
into all the hype, be a voice. The lead-free metals are toxic too, you just
have to ingest more. Bismuth kills some Dr.s try to use it for treatment in of
Lyme disease with success rates being equal to death rates. Go LEAD!!
