winch and rims
Okay here some more questions, my strap is ripping on the boat so I am going to buy another winch because it tracks crooked on the trailer and the strap folds on the right side when winching it on. Now on the new winch is there anything special to get or do to fix the problem of the tracking. Now my rims on my tracker are rusted and are just an eye sore, what kind of paint and prep would it take to salvage the rims and make them black. The boat is an 01 so its getting time to start to replace things. Thanks

I'd expect the strap folding might be an issue with the alignment of the winch or the way the strap is attached to the drum.
IMO, the best way to go with the wheels is to remove the tires and have the rims powder coated.

Don't bother with the rims, try to find some aluminum ones when you replace. Tractor supply has tire/rim combo's for a good price if you can't find what you need anywhere else. The beads on the steel rims rust and wont seat properly and it's an aggravation.
