I thought about having the big fish pot be 20 dollars per boat, and having an off species big fish pot too for 10 dollars per boat. Any fish other than a crappie would be fair game.....gar, bass, whatever...

I don;t mind the 20 though on the big fish. I'm already looking at truck and boat gas 125 bucks, motel 75 bucks, 40 for entry fee, then whatever food, ice and minners costs me. Some where around 300 bucks to drive up and fish this thing. you folks that live within an 45minutes or so, get off cheap on the tourneys. Not much gas and no motel fees so ya'll get away with 200 bucks minimum cheaper each tourney
So stay at home since ya aint gonna win it anyway!
Bwahahahaha. I'm OK with the big fish, but I think I'll opt out of the off species. Be my dang luck I'd catch a 7 foot long gar and have to cut the dang thing in half to get it in the live well then ride around with the thang all day. Did a Bass T like that once and caught a drum that went about 12 lbs. Dang thing trashed my livewell and lost the pot to a guy by about 8 ounces. You just think Crappie are slimey.

That's a great idea bigger. $10 per boat is fine for the off-species and $20 for big fish is cool too. This will make everybody curious about what else got caught during the day.
