I did it,I did it,lol.With lots of help from fish 4 all I finally did one the correct way.What do you think about this baby?1/8 oz. with a size 2 sickle and some of cadman's silver / bronze powder paint.That is some Fl. Yellow marabou that Skip got me.I love it.It's another Crappie.com ordeal,lol.

Looks like palmered marabou to me. Not bad at all. Next step, dual colors. Have you started keeping a photo record of all the techniques you have been learning? Sooner than later you will start to forget how you did that one jig some 6 months ago.

That is looks great!! What kind of thread did you use? Also when you tied it off, did you coat the thread or just tie off and dab it w/ head cement?

I was doing everything in Danville 140 black today.I got in a habit while doing saltwater jigs to coat the thread with Tough as Nails.lol
Last time I used Danville 140 it broke on my alot, I normally use Danville 210. But may tried it again. You make some great lookin stuff!

I am a big fan of Danville and use their 210 all the time and some others, but I like 140 Ultra Thread a lot better as far as breaking. I can usually do well with it and I do have my issues with smaller stuff. I am about to learn better though and that I am sure of. I just go a bunch of silk to tie with. 200 meter rolls. Was recommended by someone so am giving it a try.Quote:
