Good afternoon everyone. I have been coming down that way in the spring from Illinois and love the lake, fishing and hospitality. I might have some time to visit in the fall but was curious what month might be the best bet for some crappie. I may be able to swing a trip in October (early) or early November. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks again in advance.

Generally the lakes I fish (central Ky area) Sept is worst, Oct better and Nov best
sorry, I guess I should have specified which lake. I actually have been going to Kentucky Lake around the Benton area. I usually stay at Shawnee Bay Resort. Great people there.
We stay at Shawnee Bay too, we go every Fall. We usually go the last 2 weeks of Oct. The fishing is good and it's not crowded. Every thing is biting especially the Yellow Bass, pesky little buggers. Nov. is better but the weather is more iffy. At my age I like to be a little more comfortable.Quote:
