Son Update

It's been a long time this has been going on now and I would have just quit posting this stuff, but so many of you have been there since Dec 2006 when this all started and I feel that I should keep updating you guys. We sure appreciate the prayer and support. So here is the email I just sent out to friends other than this board.

Well Darn,

Looks like Randy is going to have his 4th cut on his leg and is worried that eventually he may loose his knee. If his tissue was not burned so badly this probably wouldn't still be going on. This time it seems as he just doesn't have enough padding or movement in his skin where the Prosthetic fits on. He wants his Prosthetic guy to be in the surgery room when it happens this time so he and the doctor can talk. Don't know the schedule yet, but that doctor is going out of the country maybe next month so I think he's trying to get in before that. We will see how it goes, I just wish one of these would be the last for Randy as I know he is tired of the re-do's. At least they fixed some things last time which make it better infection wise, but it's just not holding up when he wears the leg.

Thought I was posting this on the main board, but will leave it here too. Sorry!

My prayers are still going up for Randy and your family. We share your concerns and we know God is able Skip. Thank you for the update. I know it has been a long 4 years for you. I am also reminded of those families whose sons and daughters paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We all know freedom has never been free.

Thanks Ship, boy this kind of knocked my socks off here when he called a few minute ago now with this news. I was so excited about a few things having to do with tying. I bought a DVD that is still coming that will teach me something really cool or at least that is what I am told. Heck for the price it better do something, LOL!
Then I just ordered some high quality capes and saddles and was just thinking about how much I wanted this stuff to get here, but now I don't feel like tying and really don't care about that other stuff either.

Just a real blow here.

As you know Skip,I do know something of this subject.Very good idea of having his prostetic guy there to let the surgeon know what kind of abrasion problems he has with his leg.Maybe this will be the thing that does the trick.Prayers are with him.

Skip, I don't believe the good Lord will give you or your family more then you'll can carry. This is what prayer is all about. Keep on tying and leave the worries to him. Randy will be alright.

Sorry Skip, but I just saw this. Your family as well as your son will be in my prayers.
