plastic hair material
any you guys ever use plastic hair materials for jig tails?i picked some up with a few other things at a shop that carries some tying odds n ends.it seems to me that this shop is mostly stocking saltwater fishing types of things, but i could still use the stuff they stock.anyways im about to do a few jigs with some plastic hair and see how things go.i don't imagine it wouldn't work out fine to be honest :) the plastic hair stuff is way cheaper than the bucktails they had tho.

I see and have a good bit (several kinds) of synthetic hair, but I am not sure what you are calling plastic hair?

Hard to tell from that picture and I don't think I have ever seen it in person so I just don't know it, but probably will work. See how they look when tied since you have some.
Sorry can't say much here as I just don't know, but maybe one of the guys knows.

From the pic it looks like the crimped nylon. I have some in red and have used a little of it. Ties good and makes a good looking jig. Got it from Jann's Netcraft.

I use some for epoxy flies, but never on jigs. Too stiff IMO. I like 'bou.
