I've tried several close to this and I'm going to try this next time out. You might remember I tied one with the rubber legs a while back for Bluegill. And I'm sure it would have loaded the boat with them, if I could have gotten the Crappie to leave it alone which they wouldn't. Not fishing this weekend but will let y'all know when I do. It's a 1/32. Best pic I could get with these tired hands - sorry.
I bet it works. Hard to make out but I see some flash in that tail I think and you know what I would try? I would either take some red thread or floss if you have it or some red flash and add in one strip and that is all. Put it right on the bottom like your holding it.

I'll take your advice, skip. Looked at the red and the pearl and the pearl won. The jig material is a round strand of spinnerbait material in Fl. Yellow. The 1/64 that I used this on was a great success.
Looks really good skeetbum. I've never tyed on a jig that small. I usually tye 1/16 or 1/8 for crappie in MS. I'm usually spider rigging and around 10 ft or so deep when I'm fishing. I could see where a slower fall may be the secret though.
Looks good, maybe I need to tie some that would be for gills and maybe I will get some crappie instead.

Nice Jig!! Now ya just gotta hope the crappie leave it alone so the gills can get to it.

Should not have a problem with the fish biting that jig!! I like that color chenille.
