Hey can any of you Arkansas crappie pros give me a few hints for Norfork Lake the first week of August. I am heading there with my two sons and girlfriend for a little fun and wouldn't mind putting the kids on some fish while I was there. I'm guessing that Norfork may be tough for crappie that time of year, so any species would work. We are staying at Hand Cove resort.

Trolled bandits for 6 hours sunday morning and never caught a crappie. the guides are cancelling there trips because the crappie are not biting at all.
shoulda tried village creek.
hand cove resort. i bass fished that area from diamond bay to the damn and back up big creek and brushy creek. lots of memories there. the "ridge" right outside hand cove has given up no telling how many bass over the years.

I need help finding somebody around Greers Ferry lake who can replace the brake acuator on my Ranger Trail trailer. I already have the new acuator. My boat is at Tumbling Shoals.
Polskyboy: Here's something that often works at Norfork in August. Fish early or late in the day at one of the brush piles put in by the Game & Fish Comm. (You might find a map of the piles at the resort.) Stillfish or drift a crappie minnow or 2" inch piece of nightcrawler about 2' or 3' off bottom near the pile. Will catch several species.
Brushy creek( straight across lake to the southeast) fish under a light off the deep drop offs. Worth a shot. I'll be trying it the same week.
