I am thinking about adding electric trailer brakes. Anyone done it themselves?
Does your axle have the holes in the ends to mount the brakes? Here an example with the plate with 4 holes in it:

Probably be cheaper to buy a used trailer already equiped. Why do you feel you need them? (just curious)
I will have to look and see if I have the mounting bracket, if not you have to weld a bracket for the calipers, correct? My 18' Triton seems to push my truck quite a bit when stopping and I have worn thru 2 sets of pads with 50,000 miles. Will this not help?
I much more prefer hydraulic surge brakes over electric brakes. They stop better and hold up better in my opinion.
What kind of truck do you have? Just curious...That sounds like a lot of brakes for not very many miles.
