Greers at night
Looks like I'll be batching it this weekend, which means I can do a little night time R&R. I was thinking about dragging my barge up to Greers Friday after work. My intended M.O. is to get there before sunset, find a decent spot to anchor, then throw something on the grill and get ready to drown some bait. If I never stretch line that's okay, but if anyone has any pointers as to how and where I might boat a few for the cooler I'd be grateful. Crappie, Walleye, Cats, etc. Any and all are welcome at my table.;)

Oh yeah, and if someone thinks I should go elsewhere I'm all ears. I'd prefer not to travel more than 1.5 hours from Little Rock. Thanks everyone.

Recenty I have been anchoring at night around the Pt. 14 area. Mostly fishing live minnows down near the bottom. Have caught a nice mix of hybrids, white bass, walleye, and catfish. It seems there has been a good bite about 1 hr before dark and 2hrs after.

Okay. Thanks for that. Can I find that area by using my Navionics map of Greers? Not terribly familiar with the lake.

If you launch from Choctaw, go about 2 miles east. It's the big point that sticks out where the S. Fork of the Little Red enters the lake. You should see the sign on land

Great. I appreciate the info.

Let me know how you do. I haven't been up there in a few days because of the heat.
-
Yeah, it's hot. No doubt about that. I appreciate your input. If you're out there tomorrow night stop by and I'll feed you.
-
If all goes has planned I will be one of the boats tied up to the narrows bridge tomorrow night.

Cool. Hopefully the 30% chance of scattered storms doesn't become 100% chance some time during the night.
