OK, I've had enough of being bored: Dreams

Ya'll ever have a dream that really bothered you? Yeah, I already know what you're thinking, but read on and I'll gua-run-tee you you won't be coming back with some stewpit drivel.

2 Nights ago, I was all snuggled down sleeping the sleep that only clean living and a clear concious can achieve. There I was when REM set on me. I was at work and my cell phone rang. I picked it up and answered it:

Hello?

Chris.... and a long pause. It was Is. She was crying and all she could get out was "Chris" and a long pause.

I gotta tell you, that one bothered me bad. The dream only lasted about 3 seconds, maybe less, but that voice of hers and the long pause told me something was bad, bad wrong.

I sat right up and never went back to sleep. I just sat there with my hand on her hip and thought.

Bothered me bad.

I bet you forgot to take out the trash. That was it. :D

And forgot the dishes and the kitchen floor, NOT to mention the laundry.. Better tighten up those dreams could turn into a NIGHTMARE! just sayin..

Now on a more serious note, that dream would have concerned me as well. There, I was nice and on-topic for a change. Do not expect it to continue. :D

Why did you just wake her up and ask her why she was calling? I mean, she wouldn't have known, but at least you would have felt better when she told you it must have been some other Chris she was calling... both times.

But in all seriousness.... Wake up and go back to sleep. It was just a bad dream. Quit eating Doritos with Turkey Chili dip. That stuff would make a saint have bad dreams.

Here's a bad dream for ya....Last Sunday night, I'm in bed at the firehouse. In 16 years of firefighting, I have never had a dream about a fire. Well this night I did, and it was a doozy! In the dream, my partner and I enter a burning building to do a preliminary search. After a few minutes, I realize my partner is no longer behind me. I turn around to try and find him. I come to a room off a hallway and see my partner in the room just as the room flashes over! I hear him scream as the room is engulfed in flames. I try to go in, but it is too hot the face shield on my helmet is melting. I grab my mic and call a mayday, firefighter down. Just then, the alert in the bed hall goes off, waking me up. The dispatcher says we have a well involved structure fire! The whole way to the fire all I can think about is the dream I just had. We put the fire out without any incident. Got back to the house and told my partner about my dream. He was glad I didn't tell him before the fire. We don't have working fires very often, it was weird to dream about a fire, then get awakened to go to one.

I have some wild ones myself, other night had one where I was having
to introduce my girlfriend to my wife :o

woke up before it got real interesting though, wonder how it turned out :p
