What is a cactus style jig?
It would look like this as the body is cactus chenille. He doesn't put flash on his that I have seen. It is just the body type I am talking about.

Crappie jigs
Finny Tribe is great to do business with and Jigum Jigs are 1st rate. The chartreuse color is the one you want. I know this beacuse I know both the fisherman and the tier in this case.
I try to keep an open mind, but I fail to see why this Finny Tribe jig is so special. I've been making the same and improve version for quit a while now.
Know the people at Finny Tribe very well and very nice people they are. They do sell my jigs and I was the first jig tier they got to sell them jigs and they are the only retail spot I sell wholesale to. They carry a good many of my jigs and Roadrunners.
They were the ones that I went to their grand opening of their bricks and mortar store last year. I started with them several years back when they just had the online version.
Jay Don & Rhonda are just very special people!

First it's not a Finny Tribe Jig, they just happen to sell the Jigum jigs products. Finny Tribe strives to sell fishing lures and such that are hand made, but have spread out a bit since their beginning.
Also Matthew uses hackle feathers in his tail like I do, I just make a longer tail than he does and I tie my tail different using different parts of the feather.

Skip is the jig in this post one like we are talking about, know you and Matthew are both pretty active over on the TX board as well as Ernest Paty? I don't have any of Jigum jigs but do have a lot of yours and can say yours are very well made and they catch fish. I was just wondering if it was some kind of new stuff. I also understand about being a field tester, was one for Lowrance way, way ,way back.
[QUOTE=SteveJ;1183380]The Cactus is new to lots of tiers, but I had been using it for a couple years and didn't do much with it until last year and it all started with a customer of mine in Arkansas. It doesn't stay sticking out like you see it, when it gets wet it lays down so make a nice shinny body.
Matthew just started using the cactus a couple months back as far as I know. He started buying stuff from Crazy Angler and found the Cactus.
Don't want to say too much about anyone over on that board since it's so cliquish.
