Match the Hatch
Last couple of times I've been out I noticed the fish, all kinds, chasing these small minnows about an inch long. Clouds of em. So I had to give em something that was close if I wanted to get their interest. Still learning the hackle thing, and gray has been such a good producer, that these are what I came up with. 1/16 on top and left, 1/32 on the right, and 1/64 bottom center. The chenille has a bit of flash to it, but not too much. I tend to over tie so you can see some winding here and there. This is the most I've done in a while. The guniea just jumped out at me, so I tied it and 2 others. Reports on their success over the weekend probably. Y'all cross your fingers.:D

those are some good'ums.
Nice use of the feathers. As I said before that gray has been your go to color this year.
Be sure to let us have that report this weekend.

that is definitely a fish catching color.

I hate to admit that I'm hardheaded....or anything :p, but my fishing buddy always had me tie him gray jigs on an unpainted head and he would wear me out this time of year. I used to say I just wouldn't use anything that plain!! No mas. When you look at them in the water, it's just hard to get any closer to a minnow/shad imitation.
Good job!!
