Whats the deal with the campground up on the main lake, not the State park. Think we may be camping for the Sardis FJ but not sure. We checked on the cabins and those suckers are 80 bucks a night , OUCH

Don, We've Been Camping At The Oak Grove Camp Ground Below The Dam For Several Years Now. Nice Campsites With Electric And Water Plus Nice Shower Houses And Restrooms.
but I was curious about on the lake itself. That way we can just park the boat on the bank so we don;t have to keep loading and unloading it. We'll get the Friday at the crack of dawn and stay through Sunday noonish
If you go prefishing on Friday how are you going to recharge your batteries if you leave the boat on the bank? Group 27's would be a pain to carry back to camp.

DD me and ole Speck had several tent campers around us Saturday night when we camped at Sardis below the dam. A couple of tents even had air conditioners hooked up.
and they keep it fairly cool. Just haven't broke down and bought an AC unit YET but it's in the works. Yikes, don;t have to worry bout recharging anything, pulling cranks with the big motor but IF we need to recharge, I got 400 foot od orange extension cord that'll get it to the boat

We just used the fans before, but in the heat of the summer the ac would be nice. Then I could camp out and fish more.
