Hate to flame a local company,but........
maybe if I had a 20,000$ boat they might be more apt to help, and I can't blame them, they did provide me a number to call.

 What's wrong?
I am confussed. but that is nothing new
Cook, I've talked to a lot of people, and I haven't found one person with anything good to say about Smithville Marine. I haven't ever dealt with them, but the word in the hood was enough to keep me from trying.
Might give sportsmens outfitter a call. I've had a boat serviced there, and bought some parts. They have been fair every time.
Just trying to get some parts for an old motor-wanted to actually deal with someone in person-won't say he was rude but less than interested would be accurate..I gave them a second shot after a less than pleasent experience a few years ago. This was just the parts dept.,I've been treated OK there before for other things.
It wasn't a big sale,but one day I will own a 20,000$ boat,and I know where I WON"T buy it from.
I have always heard that if you don't buy from there you go to the bottom of the list. Only deal with Cabelas. Fair prices and outstanding workmanship. jmo
U.S. Boatworks is the place I always go (Lower Units:Mercury,Evinrude,Johnson,Mercruiser,OMC,Boat Parts). They have always found part for me for older motors and ordered them when they didn't have them. They even let me talk to the mechanic when I needed help to figure out how to disconnect my upper unit from my lower unit when changing the water pump. Give them a call.
Thats the # he gave me
Alex, might of been you or someone else here that suggested US boatworks when I needed something else earlier this year.Somehow I lost the bookmark, and couldn't find the name using search, thats why I called smithville.
Thanks to whomever it was,now that I see their website I remember them...good people!!
