Hard water Fishing - A Few of Them!!!

Since this forum is dedicated to hard water and considering a just joined.... want to share some of my greatest moments on ice :)

Up here in Quebec, Canada hard water season starts late December til end of March. This year has been a mild winter and ice thickness got to about 22" All this to say that I did not venture out like last year. Mid March was kind of iffy and did not go out. Ice was out by early April about 3 weeks before trout opener :eek:

I did get into some good ones in February.... manage my PB eye.... a 20"er

My daughter joined me a couple of times too and got her PB.... a 14" perch
Check it out :eek: almost as big as a bass :cool:

Thanks IBNFSHN!!! It looks cold but not too bad... -16C with wind shield -25C :cool:

Thank god I had the car close by so I could get away from the wind :D

Thanks Glen!!! Compared to last year.... ice was over 30" thick :eek: Did not need an extension on the auger plus lack of snow fall made for some easy walking on the hard stuff :)

All this to say.... it was a shorter season then last :(

You should try to makeup for that short season by hitting the soft stuff hard this year!

I've noticed that the Walleye and Perch sections of this board are in desperate need of pics.;)
