Do any of you have a shade that you use in the summer to block the sun? I'm looking to buy or make something. Looking for something to mount to the boat. Both of my parents have had skin cancer and I would like to not have to wear long sleeves, straw hat, and bathe in sun block when fishing.

You can usually find those big beach umbrellas at Big Lots for under $20
watch out for wind gust as it is a problem
Thats about the same set up i use. I use a pin at the top so the wind dont take off with the umb.Got tired of chasin that thing all over the lake.Quote:
