Nimrod

Anyone fished Nimrod Lake this season ?:confused:

Hey, Nimrod.....I wish I was there to fish Nimrod, it's been over 6 years now that I moved back to Lousiana to care for a parent w/alzheimers. I also liked Blue Mountain Lake, especially for wading. I would take my camper to Nimrod about the first week of March, and would work both lakes from there. Can't give you a fishing report, but I can tell you there are lots of big crappie in both. Black and Chartruce, red and chartruce, and blue and black are good in both lakes, and also pink and black.
I was living in Carlisle, just East of Little Rock, and would spend a month or better during the spawn. I still can't get over the size of the AR crappie. Best of luck, Nimrod! :D

I live just down the road from Nimrod. I have lots of bamboo condos out in the lake. Just can't fish them now as I'm netting/commerical fishing. The law prevents us from doing both on the same waters. Last year was great crappie fishing and there is a planned 5 ft draw down planned this summer .
Understand sick parents , both of mine in nursing home. Dad has cancer and mom has Alzhiemers.
I have relatives in Carlisle and Lonoke on mom's side named Carpenter.
