I've caught some big crappie over there, but I've only fished it early in the spring. There are several humps and shallow islands out along the river channel that they move up on as the water starts to warm up. I've heard stories of big bream as well but never tried them.
De Queen is a good red ear lake. Just pick an island and start fishing around it. Crappie aren't bad on the North end.
Thanks for the info.
Just going to have to try it.

We went to DeQueen for 4 hours this morning, couldn't boat a single crappie. We did all of our fishing on the north end of the lake. Sadly, this seems to have been the normal situation for the past 3 weeks. Is anyone sure there are any crappie in DeQueen:confused: We used to do all of our fishing on the south end of the lake, and we usually did really well. However, this year, we've only caught 1 crappie on the south end of the lake, and we've found very few on the north end of the lake.
